On arrival, the catalog is packed into a tapered diamond, a self-balancing column distribution that rebuilds its silhouette as the catalog grows or contracts. Past a defined zoom threshold, the formation disperses: tiles redistribute into per-project clusters, each marked by a hairline outline and a metadata title. Selecting a cluster opens a horizontal reading strip in which each photograph animates from its tile slot to its full-resolution position, a transition handled through paired rect captures rather than a view swap. The canvas runs through two parallel rendering paths, DOM on desktop and WebGL on mobile, sharing a single store and dispersion model, with image loading staggered along the entry sequence to stay within mobile memory budgets.
